I have now been here for 4 months & call it home. I'm not treated as just a patient, I live here. When I was told to make it my home I did exactally that! My quirky taste in art is one of a kind but it's mine. I go visit my family, go shopping, out to eat or see a movie when I want.

The building was run down and the attempted improvements were poorly done. There were many staff members standing around the nurse station, but we saw none interacting with patients. The young lady we spoke with was nice but could not answer questions fully. We noticed a sour smell within the building. When taken to another staff member to answer our questions, we were met with disinterest. I go visit her every day, and they are very caring and very nice. She is bedridden, and the staff is very nice. While I am there, they are always kind and they ask her, "Do you need anything, do you want anything, do you want us to change you?" They are always coming in and seeing how she is doing. I can't say a whole lot about this facility because I was not impressed at all, so I didn't stick around. It was going to be $5800 per person, so that wasn't a matter of one rent and then a second person rent. That could have something to do with the fact that it is skilled nursing, and they have a lot more staff there whereas my parents aren't up to that point of needing that kind of stuff yet. It's a lot older building, it has probably been around since the early 1960s. It's old on the inside, but they are trying to do some renovating.
